Job summary

JES Holdings / Fairway Management seeks dynamic maintenance professionals to upkeep over 250 apartment communities and rental subdivisions. You will perform repairs from drywall to plumbing, respond to work orders, and ensure units are ready for residents with attention to detail and timely execution.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in multifamily or related settings, knowledge of REAC/INSPIRE prep, and a willingness to travel for regional training. A valid vehicle and tools are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent
• 3+ years of multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance experience
• Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems (ie. door entry systems, fire suppression systems)
• Knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation

Responsibilities

• Regularly troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC as part of completing unit turns, work orders, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently.
• Maintain exceptional curb appeal.
• Complete daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on call after hours.
• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Conduct unit make readies ensuring timely completion (including painting, carpet cleaning, and general unit cleaning).
• Perform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
• Assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Pick up supplies from area vendors while legally operating a registered and insured vehicle.
• Report to Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for delegated tasks.
• Travel to regional and corporate training/conferences as required.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Notify manager of health and safety concerns on site.
• Willing to work overtime as needed and complete training in HVAC, safety, HUD and LIHTC maintenance standards
