Job summary

Franklin Group in Fairfax, VA seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain property buildings and grounds, perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repairs, and respond to resident work orders. On-call duties and adherence to OSHA safety rules are required, with a salary range of $20.15–$30.23 per hour.

Prior experience and valid driver's license are needed; HVAC certification is required and Fair Housing training within 1 day of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 years related experience and/or training.
• HVAC certification required; CAMT recommended.
• Fair Housing Certification within 1 day of hire.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repairs; glass replacement and related tasks.
• Respond promptly to resident work orders and notify management upon completion.
• Responsible for daily repair and upkeep of the community.
• Perform punch-out maintenance in vacant units before new occupancy.
• Maintain inventory and care of supplies and equipment owned by the community/company.
• Keep work area, tools and equipment clean and organized; maintain tools.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances to supervision.
• Maintain professional appearance and behavior; courteous, efficient responses.
• Keep pools, fountains, and amenity areas clean and operable.
• Operate in compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
