Southern Management Companies seeks an Apartment Maintenance Service Technician (M1) in Woodbridge, VA. This full-time role handles HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general upkeep to ensure community assets meet standards and legal requirements.

The technician diagnoses problems, performs repairs, and conducts preventive maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related systems. Strong communication and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have Type II CFC License or higher.
• Seven years of experience in maintenance related field.
• Completion of basic maintenance classes and on-the-job training within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Address, follow up and document service requests.
• Diagnose HVAC problems and perform repairs or replacements.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC units and related systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Repair and maintain grounds, drainage, doors, cabinetry and fixtures.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality control standards.
• Maintain tools and inventory per company checklist.
