Job summary

Qualifications

• : High school diploma or GED certificate or trade school diploma/certificate; 6 years’ experience may substitute.
• : Three years general maintenance (plastering, painting, basic plumbing such as unclogging toilets and drains, carpentry) experience.
• : Three years working in a multifamily housing building.
• : Ability to read, write and speak English.
• : Lift 60/Push 75 pounds; climb ladders.
• : Possess a valid California driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
• : Meet California minimum and ACOF insurance requirements; effective communication in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• : Perform property maintenance and repairs including plastering, painting, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and electrical.
• : Prioritize, schedule and complete tenant service requests and janitorial duties per ACOF standards.
• : Prepare properties for inspections by regulatory agencies.
• : Coordinate and monitor progress of vendors or outside contractors.
• : Inspect property daily and report repairs; troubleshoot equipment and arrange repairs as needed.
• : Maintain logs and paperwork such as maintenance schedules and work orders.
• : Light janitorial duties; other duties as assigned by Property Manager or Supervisor.
