Avenue5 Residential is hiring a Maintenance Technician in San Rafael, CA. You will handle diverse apartment and property maintenance tasks and uphold exceptional customer service and curb appeal at the assigned property.

The role requires at least one year in property management or related field, a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and strong English communication. Competitive benefits accompany this opportunity; pay is $30 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in property management or related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Address apartment and property maintenance duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Perform repairs across electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds.
• Carry out carpentry tasks like wallboard repair, countertop replacement, cabinet work, door/lock repair, tile work.
• Conduct preventative maintenance (siding, painting, lighting, sprinklers, pool, elevator, etc.).
• Maintain work orders and ensure timely completion to standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds, buildings and amenities for safety and cleanliness; identify issues.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow, fires, floods) and communicate issues to leadership.
• Promote safety and risk management per rules and regulations.
• Participate in after-hours on-call maintenance and address emergencies promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and curb appeal; interact professionally with residents and staff.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and other properties.
