Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Maintenance Technician in San Leandro, CA to maintain multifamily properties and provide excellent resident service. You will diagnose and repair mechanical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with make-ready tasks for new residents.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience, hands-on skills in plumbing/electrical/carpentry/HVAC, and strong communication. On-call availability and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience preferred.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred; CPO is a plus.
• Reliable transportation and on-call availability.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service with every interaction and delivers high-quality maintenance service.
• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance per policy and safety standards.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant apartments and coordinate vendors as needed.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities and perform general cleaning and painting as needed.
• Conduct routine property inspections and report safety or maintenance concerns to management.
