Job summary

Avanath is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician in Dixon, CA to preserve property condition and deliver excellent resident service. You will diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and appliance issues while maintaining curb appeal and safety standards.

The role requires on-call availability, reliable transportation, and strong communication skills to coordinate with residents and vendors.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience is highly desired.
• Hands-on maintenance skills across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools, etc.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on-call to address emergencies.
• Reliable transportation and a positive attitude to learn and grow.
• Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel, Internet, Email).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with every interaction and deliver high-quality maintenance service.
• Complete assigned work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance per policies and safety standards.
• Finish make-ready process for vacant homes, including inspections, punch lists, vendor coordination, and inventories.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning, painting, and general upkeep.
• Contribute to cost control by repairing rather than replacing when feasible and monitor inventory and safety concerns.
• Adhere to safety policies, participate in routine safety meetings, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
