Job summary

BH Management is seeking a Service Manager Build to Rent to coordinate maintenance and repair work across multiple communities. The role involves scheduling staff, touring properties for repairs, and overseeing the safety program while managing inventories and vendor relationships.

You will work largely on-site, travel between communities, and support ongoing rehabilitation and construction projects. The position requires HVAC expertise, EPA Type II, and related certifications, with a focus on

Qualifications

Minimum of two years or more experience with progressive maintenance, safety, and all major heating and air conditioning, construction (foundations, framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical).
HVAC, supply purchasing and bidding experience is helpful.
Ability to work remotely if necessary.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Prepare weekly/daily maintenance employee schedules and communicate assignments.
Tour properties daily to identify maintenance needs and hazards.
Oversee repair tasks and delegate to maintenance staff.
Maintain inventory of tools and equipment; ensure security of assets.
Support safety programs and conduct property safety audits.
Coordinate training and onboarding for maintenance staff.
Travel to multiple communities and work onsite as needed.
Assist with budgeting and contractor/vendor coordination.
