Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle apartment and property upkeep, deliver top-notch service, and uphold curb appeal at our Tempe community. You will perform repairs on electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, carpentry and coordinate preventative maintenance while ensuring safety and resident satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 1+ year in property maintenance, valid driver's license, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and perform basic mathematical functions.

Responsibilities

• Address maintenance duties as directed by the supervisor or property manager while upholding customer service and curb appeal.
• Perform repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance.
• Execute carpentry tasks: wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, ceramic tile repair.
• Carry out preventative maintenance such as siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, elevator and related tasks.
• Maintain the work order system and ensure timely completion to company standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds and common areas to maintain safety and cleanliness, identifying issues for maintenance or replacement.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow, fires, floods) and communicate with leadership about issues.
• Adhere to safety requirements and participate in after-hours maintenance as needed.
