Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Leasing Specialist to drive occupancy and resident satisfaction at a multifamily community. You will show apartments, qualify leads, process applications, conduct tours, and assist in daily operations to ensure a positive living experience and strong financial performance.

Responsibilities include coordinating marketing initiatives, handling lease paperwork, and maintaining occupancy through effective resident relations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of leasing, sales, or customer service experience; property management preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and property management software.
• Experience using social media (Facebook, Instagram) preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-service oriented with professional resident/vendor interaction.
• Flexibility to work weekends if required.
• Valid driver's license (for golf carts if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents, conduct property tours, and showcase available apartments and amenities.
• Qualify leads, process rental applications, run background and credit checks, and prepare lease documents.
• Inspect units to ensure move-in readiness and coordinate with maintenance on outstanding items.
• Execute lease agreements and move-in packages for new residents.
• Design and implement short- and long-term marketing plans to drive traffic and occupancy.
• Promote the community via digital platforms such as Craigslist, Facebook, and email campaigns.
• Coordinate resident referral programs and employer outreach; participate in local networking.
• Maintain knowledge of market conditions, rental rates, and trends.
• Provide excellent customer service to retain residents and respond to questions or complaints.
• Follow up with prospects and new residents to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with renewal documents and lease extensions.
• Keep records of prospect and resident interactions in property management software.
