Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Leasing Specialist to drive occupancy and enhance resident satisfaction in a multifamily community. You will show and lease apartments, coordinate marketing efforts, and assist the Property Manager to ensure a positive living experience and strong financial performance.

You will qualify leads, process applications, run checks, and prepare leases while staying current on market trends and rental rates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of leasing, sales, or customer service experience (property mgmt preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects, tour property, showcase apartments and amenities.
• Qualify leads, process applications, run background/credit checks, and prepare leases.
• Ensure units are move‑in ready and coordinate with maintenance.
• Execute lease agreements and onboarding for new residents.
• Design and implement marketing plans to generate traffic and occupancy.
• Promote community via Craigslist, Facebook, and email campaigns.
• Coordinate referral programs and local networking.
• Maintain knowledge of market conditions and rental rates.
• Support retention with strong customer service and timely responses.
• Follow up with prospects and new residents to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with renewals and lease extensions.
• Maintain records in property management software.
• Keep guest cards updated and follow up on leads.
• Assist with rent collection and delinquent accounts.
