Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Leasing Specialist to drive occupancy and resident satisfaction in a multifamily community. Responsibilities include showing apartments, processing applications, and coordinating marketing efforts to sustain strong financial performance.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work with maintenance and leasing teams. Experience with property management software and social media is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in leasing, sales, or customer service; property management experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software is required.
• Experience using social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents, conduct property tours, and showcase available apartments and amenities.
• Qualify leads, process rental applications, run background and credit checks, and prepare lease documents.
• Ensure units are move-in ready by inspecting them and coordinating with maintenance.
• Execute lease agreements and move-in packages; support onboarding of new residents.
• Design and implement marketing plans to maintain occupancy and generate traffic.
• Promote the community via Craigslist, Facebook, and email campaigns.
• Coordinate referrals, employer outreach, and local networking efforts.
• Maintain knowledge of market conditions, rental rates, and trends.
• Support resident retention with excellent customer service and timely responses.
• Conduct follow-up with prospects and residents to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with lease renewals and document preparation.
• Maintain accurate records in Yardi/OneSite; keep guest cards updated.
