Job summary

Capstone Restaurant Group is seeking a District Manager in Illinois to lead the performance of restaurant management teams across the district. You will ensure training, coaching, and development, while driving guest satisfaction and adherence to standards.

You will evaluate operations, manage financial performance, and support marketing initiatives. The role requires 7–10 years in food service, multi-unit experience, and strong leadership skills, with regular travel.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years previous restaurant experience required.
• 3-5 years in management positions (preferably multi-unit restaurant experience including full-service, fast food or convenience).
• Financial planning aptitude including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and P & L management.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all District Team Members are trained, motivated, and empowered to deliver total Guest satisfaction.
• Evaluates each restaurant's QSC standards; provides regular feedback and coaching on improvement; conducts periodic inspections of the restaurant.
• Communicates customer comments and concerns to the appropriate Restaurant Manager; follows up to ensure timely resolution.
• Ensures all General Managers and GMITs receive orientation, training, and development opportunities.
• Trains, coaches, and provides regular performance feedback to motivate and improve Team Members.
• Evaluates overall performance of General Managers and GMITs against standards.
• Provides counseling and/or discipline when needed.
• Oversees training and follow-up of new products, programs, and changes.
• Actively recruits new General Managers and GMITs; matches management to restaurant needs to maximize results.
• Analyzes business performance; initiates corrective actions when deviations occur from financial expectations.
• Supports company-wide marketing programs; evaluates local restaurant marketing strategies.
• Ensures business and personnel practices comply with laws and company policies.
• Serves as a role model and sets a positive example for the team.
• Negotiates vendor contracts for districts; follows company approval process.
• Upholds food safety, handling and sanitation requirements.
