Job summary

ISS/Guckenheimer in San Diego, CA, seeks a General Manager to oversee the operation, drive continuous improvement, and ensure alignment with the client's business strategy. You will lead a large culinary team, manage budgets, and uphold food safety programs across multiple units.

The role requires 3+ years of general management in food service, strong coaching skills, and a track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences. This is a full-time on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years General Management in multi-unit food service.
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees (hourly and salaried).
• Proven leadership: building, managing, and leading a large culinary and hospitality team.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and payroll responsibilities.
• Strong judgement and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP compliance.
• Vendor relations and contract management experience.
• Proficient with Google Docs/M Microsoft Office and communication.
• Must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Satisfy client and customer needs by delivering high-quality food service.
• Interview and hire unit staff in line with regulations.
• Develop training programs and coach staff for development.
• Maintain sanitary and safe operation per health regs; follow HACCP.
• Lead safety and compliance across the operation.
• Monitor budgets and unit performance with Area Manager.
• Schedule employees and conduct performance appraisals.
• Communicate effectively with client management and team.
