Job summary

HMSHost Corporation at Austin Airport is seeking a Cook G to prepare cooked foods and perform all station functions, including Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and eggs. This non-exempt role requires at least 1 year of related cooking experience, knowledge of HACCP, and the ability to work in a high-volume casual dining environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of closely related cooking experience; high-volume casual dining environment preferred.
• Knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, and converse with customers.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist and perform job functions.
• Frequent immersion of hands in water and handling sharp knives and hot plates.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and prepare a variety of food items including soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other items.
• Estimate production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment.
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment.
• Practice HACCP standards and food safety compliance.
• Operate kitchen equipment and measure, mix and prepare ingredients.
