Job summary

HMSHost in Savannah, GA is seeking a Cook to prepare cooked foods and operate multiple stations (Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and eggs). You will communicate with the manager on duties and timing to ensure top-quality service for guests and staff in a non-exempt role.

The role requires following recipes, maintaining sanitation per HACCP, and working with kitchen equipment while lifting up to 40 pounds. Prior high-volume casual dining experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires 1 year of related cooking experience, preferably in a high-volume casual dining environment.
• Knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry is expected.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and prepare food items across multiple stations (Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, eggs).
• Taste, plan production, estimate requirements, and requisition supplies as needed.
• Clean and sanitize work stations and equipment; maintain HACCP standards.
