Job summary

Storage Star Management is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate payroll processing across multiple states using Paylocity. You will review earnings and deductions, maintain compliance with state and federal wage laws, and support payroll reporting and tax filings.

The role requires 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience, proficiency with an HRIS (Paylocity preferred), and CPP certification is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Accounting or Finance is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on multi-state payroll experience using Paylocity or similar HRIS.
• CPP certification is a strong plus for this role.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate, timely payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple states using the HRIS (Paylocity).
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage, hour, and tax regulations, including multi-state requirements.
• Coordinate payroll processing with Paychex and internal stakeholders as needed.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate payroll documentation and records; support internal audits.
