Job summary

Worksome is seeking a meticulous Payroll Coordinator to own core payroll processing for our multi-state EOR operations. You will manage weekly payroll runs, new hires, terminations, deductions, and overtime while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role supports HR processes during peak periods and helps scale our payroll engine as we grow. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of payroll experience, with strong knowledge of state wage laws, and proficiency in payroll platforms and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience (multi-state strongly preferred).
• Experience with payroll platforms and MS Excel.
• Ability to run a full payroll cycle start to finish independently.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax fundamentals and state wage rules.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly multi-state payroll runs with precise data handling across platforms.
• Set up new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, and garnishments.
• Calculate overtime, bonuses, and variable pay with accuracy.
• Review timesheets and ensure completeness before processing.
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and correct errors promptly.
• Support payroll tax compliance and maintain accurate payroll records.
