Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate need for a General Maintenance Worker II in the Emeryville / East Bay area, CA.

The technician will report to the Assistant Chief Engineer and lead key initiatives in an assigned geographical territory to ensure the effective, efficient, and timely delivery and fulfillment of EFS’s line of services and associated products to dispersed and varied customers through the deployment and utilization of a proprietary facilities supplier network.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent; trades experience preferred.
• 2–5 years mechanical experience including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Certifications, licenses, and valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of people.
• HVAC EPA Universal License orJourneyman Electrical License.

Responsibilities

• Complete field inspections on a scheduled basis and process work orders.
• Attend weekly toolbox safety meetings and use safety equipment.
• Perform routine painting, carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical work to keep facilities in good condition.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Utilize MAXIMO and routing tech to drive productivity and service delivery.
• Estimate time and materials and prepare quotes for non-standard work.
• Meet or exceed KPI targets for safety, inspections, and technology use.
• Maintain positive client relations and communicate with Service Delivery and Procurement.
