Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform required PMs and repair commercial and industrial facility equipment in a safety-conscious environment. The role emphasizes communication, ownership, and cross-training within the facilities team.

Responsibilities include inspections, preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life-safety systems, CMMS operation, parts ordering, and potential project work with subcontractors; overnight travel may be

Qualifications

• High School diploma (or equivalent) required, preference given to those with some undergraduate business or trade school training.
• 4 years’ experience and/or training including the application of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry skills/concepts required. An equivalent combination of training, education, and manufacturing maintenance experience is acceptable.
• Valid driver’s license, Fork truck operator’s license, JLG operator’s license required.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or graphic form. Must have a working knowledge of MS WORD, email, and work order systems; Building Automation knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Abides by all safety guidelines including OSHA regulations, lock-out/tag-out, etc.
• Conducts shift rounds to identify issues and document system and equipment performance.
• Competently maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs HVAC, fire life safety, plumbing and electrical systems; operates CMMS and orders parts.
• May manage maintenance projects and supervise Sub-Contractors; coordinates with site management.
• May require overnight travel.
