Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial and industrial facility equipment. The role emphasizes communication, ownership, and adherence to safety standards.

Candidates should have strong experience across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks and be able to use a CMMS and building automation systems. On-site responsibilities include shifts, rounds, and collaboration with the facilities team.

Qualifications

High School diploma required, some undergrad/business/trade training preferred.
Four years’ experience and/or training in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
Valid driver’s license, Forklift operator’s license, and JLG operator’s license required.
Ability to read and interpret instructions, and to use MS Word and email; operate building automation systems.
Strong communication, safety compliance, and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

Perform required preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, fire life safety, plumbing and electrical systems.
Inspect equipment, diagnose malfunctions, and document performance and repairs.
Repair or replace pumps, valves, wiring, fixtures, and control systems; maintain lighting and electrical distribution.
Order parts, manage vendor relationships, and participate in project meetings.
Document results in CMMS and contribute to PM list updates.
