Job summary

Small Door seeks a Facilities Manager to support day-to-day operations and maintenance across a growing multi-market network of veterinary practices. This role partners with practice teams, regional operations, vendors, landlords, and a facilities management partner.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple locations, prioritizing competing needs, and traveling between practices regularly.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of facilities management or related experience, preferably multi-site.
• Experience with CMMS, vendor management and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems.
• Proven ability to manage facilities budgets and small capital projects.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day facilities operations across a portfolio of veterinary practices.
• Triage facilities requests, escalations, and emergency repairs to resolution.
• Maintain work orders and preventative maintenance via a CMMS platform.
• Coordinate third-party partners, contractors, and local vendors.
• Review proposals, scopes and invoices; track spending against budget.
• Liaise with landlords on repairs and responsibilities; conduct site visits.
• Lead capital projects, equipment replacements, and practice refreshes.
• Partner with Development and Operations on larger facilities priorities.
