Job summary

Small Door is seeking a talented Practice Manager to lead a high-performing team across a veterinary practice. You will drive exceptional client experiences, manage bi-weekly payroll, time and attendance, and ensure adherence to brand standards.

You will work closely with clinical leadership to optimize operations and financial performance. You will oversee scheduling, budgeting, inventory, and quarterly team events, while partnering with regional leadership to implement new initiatives and

Qualifications

• 4+ years in veterinary or human healthcare practice and at least 2 years directly managing a team.
• Experience in hospitality or fast-paced startups is a plus.
• Strong business acumen and data-driven decision making.
• Comfortable with technology platforms and adapting to new software.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing Practice Team to deliver exceptional hospitality and care.
• Oversee practice P&L and revenue by type, identifying trends and growing top-line revenue.
• Manage budget, COGs, labor and inventory to maintain profitability.
• Review KPI dashboards and craft business plans for the practice.
• Collaborate with Managing Veterinarian and regional leadership to hit revenue targets.
• Oversee appointment scheduling, surgeries, and specialist bookings for optimal utilization.
• Own onboarding and backfills; partner with HQ for initiatives.
