Job summary

The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a full-time Retail & Café Supervisor to lead our retail stores and café across Papago Park, South Mountain, and Sunnyslope campuses. This hands-on leadership role requires a flexible schedule and strong customer service, with responsibilities spanning staffing, budgeting, inventory, and promotions.

You will train staff and volunteers, monitor sales and costs, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards while delivering an exceptional experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; A degree in business, financial management, or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of retail and/or restaurant management experience required.
• Experience in financial reporting, and analysis.
• Proficient in MS Office and POS systems.
• Experience successfully maintaining low costs, driving strong margins, and working with expense reports.
• Must be able to read and write English, draft, revise, and communicate retail and training material. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Ability to learn/use Clover software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of three retail stores, one full service café, and one micro market across locations.
• Staffing, scheduling, payroll, inventory, merchandising, promotions, cleanliness, health and safety compliance.
• Assist with hiring, performance management, and volunteer coordination; provide coverage during staffing shortages.
• Manage budgets and financial reporting, monitor sales and inventory, reduce waste, identify new products and market opportunities.
