Applegreen USA Welcome Centers in Kentucky is seeking a Plaza Director to oversee day-to-day operations and long-term profitability of a multi-million-dollar travel plaza along a major highway.

You will lead a dedicated team, drive sales, maintain brand standards, and ensure fast, friendly service while upholding food quality and safety. The role requires 5+ years of multi-unit leadership, flexible on-site hours, and a focus on staff development and cost control.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven success in multi-unit or big-box leadership.
• Available to work a flexible on-site schedule approximately 50 hours per week including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Able to stand and walk for an extended period of time; lift at least 20 pounds.
• Occasionally attend meetings or travel to support other locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of associates and plaza leadership to achieve objectives around sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction, brand standards, and food quality & safety.
• Monitor and analyze progress towards financial and performance objectives and implement changes to maximize performance and profitability.
• Ensure each food and beverage concept adheres to brand standards.
• Maintain an engaging work culture and foster accountability.
• Recruit, develop, and retain strong teams and manage staffing levels across the plaza.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, training, promotion, and disciplinary actions for plaza leadership.
• Supervise plaza leadership team to meet goals and manage direct reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal laws.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and timely.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, and Facilities & Maintenance.
• Maintain seamless relationships with partners, vendors, and communities.
