Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to support two communities in the Charlotte, NC area. The role involves diagnosing and repairing building systems, completing the make-ready process for vacant units, and maintaining common areas according to Greystar standards.

You'll handle preventative maintenance, document work orders, manage inventory, and assist in cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts where possible. Flexibility to rotate on-call duties is required.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant handling certification required.
• Proven maintenance experience and willingness to support two properties.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and performing repairs per policies and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant homes including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring readiness for leasing.
• Handles materials, supplies, tools, and equipment with proper inventory tracking and reordering notifications.
• Documents service requests and maintenance actions promptly and accurately for proper tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning, painting, and debris removal as needed.
• Supports cost-control by fixing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Education

EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certification
