Job summary

Van Cleef Engineering Associates in New Jersey is seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician II to provide hands-on, on-site IT support across multiple offices. You will work with our internal IT team and MSP to keep staff productive and systems running smoothly.

The role involves hardware, account provisioning, networking basics, and vendor coordination, with occasional after-hours support. Travel between NJ and PA offices is required with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 2–3 years IT support or help desk experience.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Windows, and basic hardware troubleshooting.
• Laptop imaging, AD/Entra ID provisioning, and equipment inventory tracking.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (Autotask, Jira, or similar).
• Basic networking knowledge and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and travel between NJ/PA offices.

Responsibilities

• Resolve onsite IT tickets—hardware setup, printers, peripherals, and basic networking.
• Escalate to MSP and track tickets with clear notes and status.
• Onboard new hires and offboard departures: imaging, provisioning, and license assignment.
• Provide initial troubleshooting for Windows 11, M365 apps, and network issues.
• Support office networking gear and coordinate with senior staff.
• Manage IT inventory across all office locations and assist with projects.
