The Voluntary Protection Programs Participants' Association, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Field Safety Manager to develop and enforce consistent safety standards across multiple locations.

The role conducts facility inspections, investigates incidents, and partners with operations leadership to reduce workplace hazards and injuries. Ideal candidates will have multi-location safety experience, strong investigative judgment, and the authority to address hazards directly.

Competenze

• Five or more years of experience in occupational safety or risk management.
• Experience managing safety across multiple locations.
• Knowledge of hazard assessment, incident investigation, corrective-action management, and safety training.

Mansioni

• Develop and maintain companywide safety policies, procedures, training, and inspection standards.
• Conduct scheduled and unannounced safety audits across all locations.
• Evaluate shop equipment, vehicles, hazardous materials, PPE, emergency systems, housekeeping, and work practices.
• Investigate injuries, near misses, equipment failures, spills, and other safety incidents.
• Identify root causes and assign corrective actions with owners and deadlines.
• Stop work or address immediate safety risks.
