Job summary

NOVO Construction, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to coordinate and implement the Site Specific Environmental Health and Safety Program across projects in our Austin region.

You will report to the corporate EH&S Director and work with Superintendents, Project Managers, and clients to uphold safety standards. Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, hazard coaching, incident investigations, and developing project-specific safety plans, while ensuring compliance with federal, state,

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Hour Construction Certification.
• CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
• OSHA 500 Certification preferred.
• Other OSHA training and competency in crane, fall protection, excavation, scaffolds, confined space, and heavy equipment safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform frequent safety inspections of multiple project sites and ensure records are complete and reports submitted.
• Provide safety coaching in hazard identification and resolution.
• Prepare reports and recommend corrective actions for identified deficiencies.
• Ensure safety of employees, subcontractors, clients and the public on sites.
• Develop and implement project-specific safety plans with project teams.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct safety briefings, trainings, and testing for all employees.
• Coordinate safety requirements with project teams and clients.
• Ensure subcontractors understand and meet safety expectations.
