Job summary

RCN Technologies is seeking a Deployment Project Coordinator in Knoxville to own strategic deployments from deal close to customer sign-off. You will be the single point of contact across sales, procurement, NOC, and field teams, coordinating multi-site POTS replacement deployments.

You will hand off closed deals, forecast deployments, and manage hardware orders to align with install schedules while ensuring sites are provisioned to spec. This role offers growth into a Deployment PM position.

Qualifications

• 2+ years coordinating projects, installs, or field work in telecom, low voltage, IT services, or construction.
• Strong, professional communicator who can own a customer relationship and keep many contacts informed at once.
• Organized and detail oriented; able to run several multi-site projects in parallel without losing track of any.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer stakeholders and site contacts throughout deployment: run kickoffs, scope of work documentation, schedule installs, answer questions, and communicate status.
• Take handoff of closed deals from the sales team and own them through delivery.
• Meet with sales weekly to understand the upcoming pipeline and build strategic jobs into the deployment forecast, including planned field hours.
• Coordinate hardware orders with procurement and finance so equipment is ordered, staged, and shipped to match the install schedule.
• Work with the NOC and provisioning team to confirm each site is provisioned and configured to spec before the install window.
• Schedule and direct third party field vendors or internal technicians, track completion, and close out project documentation.
• Track deployment status, flag risks early, and report progress to the Director of Operations.
