Job summary

Scale Computing is seeking a Deployment Technician to execute and support customer installation projects for managed services deployments. You will configure network hardware, provide real-time support, and drive successful deployment completion.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in deployments or IT support, strong networking knowledge, and solid communication skills. Expect cross-team coordination, remote assistance, and potential travel for installations.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years in deployments, IT support, or field services.
Solid networking fundamentals (IP addressing, VLANs, DHCP, switch configurations).
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage remote sessions and coordinate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

Install network hardware remotely and on-site (firewalls, switches, wireless APs).
Support onsite technicians via Google Meet, Dialpad, or similar platforms.
Track multiple installations, manage milestones, provide check-in support, and ensure timely completions.
Adhere to SOPs, install guides, and platform-specific standards and internal deployment tools.
Upload required install documentation for QA review and update task statuses in Jira/DaySmart.
Escalate issues appropriately through Slack or designated escalation channels.
Mentor and assist in onboarding new Deployment Technicians and contribute to knowledge base improvements.
