Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to support delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable. You will learn multiple routes, delivering garments and products while maintaining exceptional customer service and accurate route reporting.

The role emphasizes autonomy with teamwork, driving efficiency, and safety on the road. A proactive, flexible candidate will thrive in our steady, customer-centric environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• DOT requirements, including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently while supporting a team.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Comfort with using and learning new technologies to improve operations.
• Physical stamina to lift, carry, and push up to 50 lbs., and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver garments and products to customers along established routes; load, transport, and unload.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Resolve customer requests independently and maintain satisfaction.
• Accurately manage invoices and conduct inventory audits; ensure vehicle safety and appearance.
• Follow safety standards and traffic laws; collaborate with teams on route support and new accounts.
