Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to support delivery routes by stepping in when Route Service Representatives are unavailable. You’ll learn multiple routes and ensure customers receive seamless service.

This role combines customer service with on-the-road operations: loading garments, managing invoices, safety, and collaboration with service teams. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required, with a Monday–Friday day schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Strong customer service skills; ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented mindset.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Tech-savvy: comfortable using and learning new technologies to enhance efficiency.
• Physical stamina: capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and staying on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency across multiple routes and learn customer-specific details.
• Deliver garments and products to customers along established routes; handle returns.
• Provide excellent customer service through positive interactions and clear communication.
• Resolve customer requests independently with problem-solving skills.
• Accurately manage invoices, conduct inventory audits, and maintain vehicle safety/appearance.
• Follow traffic laws and company safety standards to ensure safety of all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Service and Management Teams to support installations, route coverage, rerouting, and upselling.
• Share customer feedback and market observations with location leadership.
