Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to cover delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable. You’ll load and deliver garments, support customers, and help with route installations while maintaining safety and efficiency across multiple routes.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, DOT compliance, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. It offers growth opportunities in a fast-paced service environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; 21+.
• DOT compliance, including physical exam.
• Strong customer service skills with ability to work independently.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery preferred.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency across multiple routes to provide top-tier service.
• Deliver garments and products to customers along established routes.
• Load, transport, and unload items safely and efficiently.
• Collect used/soiled garments for return and ensure timely service.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain customer relationships.
• Resolve customer requests independently and maintain satisfaction.
• Accurately manage invoices, conduct inventory audits, and keep vehicle clean.
• Follow traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies.
• Collaborate with Service and Management Teams on route support and upsell opportunities.
• Share customer feedback with location leadership and monitor local competition.
