Job summary

Lidl US in Maryland is seeking Store Associates to keep our operations running smoothly, handling checkout, stocking, bakery and produce tasks in a single shift to deliver a fast, customer-focused shopping experience.

In a structured, team-based setting, you’ll learn Lidl’s procedures from the ground up, uphold safety standards, and contribute to weekly promotions and displays while maintaining high presentation and cleanliness across the store.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic with willingness to learn multiple roles.
• Effective, friendly communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, move, or slide products up to 45 lbs; reach above head height.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers with friendly, efficient service.
• Transition between checkout, stocking, and areas like bakery/produce.
• Meet productivity goals following Lidl processes.
• Perform daily freshness checks in produce and chilled areas.
• Set up non-food promotional displays and weekly offers with accurate signage.
• Keep the store clean across the sales floor, restrooms, warehouse, and parking lot.
• Operate the register quickly and accurately; memorize PLU codes.
• Handle customer inquiries, process returns, and resolve issues.
• Help keep inventory accurate and stock-loss low.
• Ensure a safe environment by following safety procedures.
• Work with the team to complete daily tasks for the next shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
