Job summary

Greystar in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Floating Maintenance Supervisor to oversee technical and mechanical work across buildings, grounds, and common areas, ensuring safety and Greystar standards.

You will handle work orders, perform make-readies for vacant units, supervise vendors, manage inventory, and uphold preventive maintenance programs while focusing on cost control and resident service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the source of defects from resident service requests and repair per policy and safety standards.
• Oversee and complete make-ready process for vacant units, including pre-move-in inspections and punch lists.
• Develop cleanliness and curb-appeal standards for grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work by service team members and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Inspect contractors/vendors to ensure materials and services meet quality and scope.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate with the Community Manager to order supplies.
• Perform monthly preventive maintenance procedures as documented.
