Job summary

Matrix Service Co. seeks a skilled welder to perform welding functions per jobsite specifications in an industrial construction environment.

You will weld pipe of various sizes and alloys using ARC, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, GAS, MIG, TIG and will be involved in brazing and cutting as required. You must maintain safety standards, pass weld tests, and have current certifications in SMAW, GTAW and GMAW, with TWIC card, and be able to work with QA/QC teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in refinery maintenance/turnaround/construction experience.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Must pass Weld Test and have practical welding skill.
• Complete Matrix Service Safety training and related programs.
• Must obtain and maintain active status in drug testing program.
• Must pass background check.
• Must have current TWIC card.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding per jobsite specifications across multiple welding procedures and pipe types.
• Weld high/low pressure pipe; comply with NDE testing (visual, hydro, 100% x-ray).
• Select equipment and plan layout and welding of pipe and structures.
• Work with QA/QC and supervision; adhere to safety and core values.
• Fit up pipe, grind as required, and weld structural steel/components.
• Identify hazards and take corrective action; perform other related duties.
