Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled welder to assemble and weld fabricated components per blueprints and metallurgy. The role requires proficiency in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW, with the ability to lay out, align, and weld pieces in various positions while maintaining strict quality standards.

The candidate must pass pre-employment background and physical tests and comply with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and welding procedures.
• Proficient in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW welding processes.
• Able to pass pre-employment background and physical tests.
• Knowledge of safety and PPE requirements.
• May require x-ray quality certifications.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe or materials according to specs.
• Plans layouts, assembly and welding using geometry and metallurgy.
• Performs various welding processes as required.
• Lays out, aligns and fits components for welding.
• Welds components in multiple positions and verifies welds.
• Operates equipment safely and maintains tools.
• Assists with material handling and setup.
• Ensures compliance with safety and project rules.
