Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks an experienced welder capable of SMAW, GTAW and GMAW welding. The role involves reading blueprints, laying out and welding structural components for tanks, vessels, and frames in a manufacturing environment.

Candidates should be proficient in weld techniques, material layout, and safety practices, with the ability to pass necessary performance tests and certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience with SMAW, GTAW and GMAW welding processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and plans for weld fits.
• Follows safety rules and quality standards consistently.

Responsibilities

• Selects pipe type/size per specs and plans layouts.
• Plans welding layouts, considering geometry and metallurgy.
• Operate various welding processes as required (GMAW, SMAW, GTAW).
• Lay out, position, align and fit components for welding.
• Weld components using arc methods; join edges as specified.
• Prep and clean welds; inspect bead size and quality.
• Load, transport and handle materials and tools safely.
• Follow safety rules and perform related duties as needed.
