Job summary

Harbin Lumber Company in Lavonia, GA is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support to employees across locations. The role keeps devices, networks and business systems running day to day and escalates complex issues to the IT Manager or vendors.

You will handle first- and second-level help desk, manage user accounts, perform backups and contribute to security and training. Regular travel between locations and after-hours on-call work are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of help desk, desktop support or related IT experience.
• 2+ years supporting users across multiple locations preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor in IT preferred.
• CompTIA A+ and Network+ preferred; Security+ or Microsoft 365 certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level help desk support to employees at all locations, in person, by phone and through remote tools.
• Log, track and resolve support requests in the company ticketing system; document solutions.
• Troubleshoot operational issues with DMSI Agility; escalate to IT Manager or vendor as needed.
• Install, configure, maintain and repair company hardware and software (desktops, laptops, printers, phones, mobiles, scanners, POS).
• Create, update and disable user accounts; apply OS and software updates; monitor security alerts and backups.
• Assist with training for new employees on IT systems and security awareness; maintain documentation and guides.
