Job summary

Amentum is seeking an advanced Mechanical Maintenance Technician IV for our 2nd shift Facility Maintenance team in Mossville, Illinois. The role focuses on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and preventive/corrective maintenance of mechanical systems in an industrial setting.

The position requires five years of experience in mechanical maintenance, ability to work at heights up to 30 feet, and willingness to overtime and cover various shifts. Safety and compliance with CMMS procedures are essential.

Qualifications

Five years of experience performing mechanical maintenance in an industrial environment.
Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
May require a valid Driver’s License.
Overtime, various shifts, weekends, holidays, and alternative work schedules.

Responsibilities

Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs facility mechanical systems; pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems; conveyors; and overhead cranes.
Diagnoses and troubleshoots ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, rooftop AHU’s, split systems, compressors, and boilers.
Troubleshoots and repairs HVAC equipment, blowers, and fans.
Performs welding and fabrication, including building custom fixtures and maintenance parts.
Maintains welders and performs basic pipefitting repairs.
Repairs commercial doors and basic electrical issues; performs preventive maintenance per CMMS.
