Job summary

Amentum is seeking an advanced Mechanical Maintenance Technician IV for our 2nd shift facility maintenance team in Mossville, Illinois. The role focuses on responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and preventive/corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain conveyors, HVAC systems, pumps, and related machinery, while complying with safety standards and CMMS workflows.

3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Qualifications

Five years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
Ability to operate in an aerial lift or scissor lift up to 30 feet or higher.
Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain security access badge.
Overtime, various shifts, weekends, holidays, and alternative schedules.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair facility mechanical systems; pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and overhead cranes.
Troubleshoot ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, AHUs, compressors, and boilers.
Perform welding and fabrication for fixtures, brackets, and maintenance parts.
Operate CMMS for preventive maintenance scheduling and documentation.
Work safely with 3-phase power up to 480V and perform basic electrical repairs.
Assist in moving machines and equipment; maintain safety and quality standards.
