Job summary
Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician II in New Albany, Ohio to join our maintenance team. This intermediate role handles work orders, troubleshooting, and repairs across fixtures and systems in a critical infrastructure setting, with multi-craft duties including light carpentry, painting, and sheet metal.
The technician works under minimal supervision within a self-directed team, ensuring safety, equipment reliability, and compliance with regulations while supporting other trades
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of HVAC/R or facilities maintenance experience in relevant environments
- Able to operate aerial or scissor lift up to 30 feet or higher
Responsibilities
- Performs planned maintenance on building equipment and related services.
- Operates and maintains HVAC equipment and systems.
- Diagnoses and repairs heating, ventilation equipment and related motors.
- Performs preventative maintenance inspections.
- Maintains spare parts inventory and communicates needs.
- Assists installing new equipment and servicing installations.
- Supports contractors, vendors, project managers and engineers as needed.
- Complies with safety regulations, codes and standards.
- Performs CMMS-based maintenance and documents actions.
- Recommends improvements to maintenance methods and equipment.
