Job summary

Athletico Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator Float to support a group of clinics as a flexible front-office resource.

You will ensure high-quality patient service, manage schedules across locations, onboard new patients, verify insurance, collect payments, and coordinate communications with clinicians and case managers to maintain a seamless patient experience across clinics.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 1+ years in customer service or healthcare front-office; PEC or medical front-desk experience preferred.
• Skills: strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal abilities; proficient with EMR systems and MS Office.
• Technical: able to learn Raintree EMR and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, friendly, and compassionate service to patients, caregivers, and clinic teams.
• Manage clinic schedules across locations and maintain patient flow.
• Complete new patient onboarding and warm handoffs to staff.
• Verify insurance and communicate benefits and payment options.
• Collect time-of-service payments and discuss balances.
• Coordinate patient-progress communication with physicians and case managers.
• Support visit frequency, scheduling, discharge planning, and post-care questions.
• Execute Patient Experience SOPs across clinics and adapt to local workflows.
• Provide front-desk coverage during PEC PTO and high-volume periods.
• Shadow and coach new PECs with feedback to regional team.
• Complete process audits and adherence checks to identify improvements.
