Job summary

MicroTech Systems is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our Boise, Idaho team. You will provide technical guidance and support to clients and the business, using strong communication and problem-solving skills to deliver timely solutions.

The role requires experience with Office 365, Windows Server/Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, scripting, PowerShell, and network/HW troubleshooting. Expect both on-site and remote work with a focus on client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred.
• Four years minimum IT support experience including Office 365 install/config/administration/troubleshooting.
• Experience with Windows Server/Active Directory/configuration/administration/troubleshooting.
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange. Scripting knowledge and PowerShell.
• Hypervisor understanding/administration and backup solutions.
• Advanced desktop, server, LAN and WAN troubleshooting and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and resolving advanced issues for applications, OS, and hardware.
• Provide technical assistance and solutions to clients.
• Collect detailed information from references, software utilities, or clients.
• Troubleshoot networks, desktops/laptops, and mobile devices.
• Use Service Desk ticketing system to document work, progress, and resolutions.
• Ensure tickets are processed promptly and logs are updated.
• Contact clients and resolve issues within SLA timeframes.
• Troubleshooting will involve onsite and remote work; maintain professionalism.
• Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction before closing tickets.
