Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience: 3 years in Patient Access, Billing, Cash Collections, Insurance and/or Pre-certification in a hospital; 5 years preferred.
• No certification/license requirements stated.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct the daily activities of scheduling in-house and outside patient tests and treatments.
• Obtain needed authorizations for procedures and tests.
• Report to the Patient Services Manager; no supervisory duties specified.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Preferred: Associates Degree, Medical Terminology or Health Care Management

Required Experience:

Required: Three (3) years’ experience in Patient Access, Billing, Cash Collections, Insurance and/or Pre-certification requirements or directly related experience in a hospital. Preferred: Five (5) years’ experience in Patient Access, Billing, Cash Collections, Insurance and/or Pre-certification requirements or directly related experience in a hospital.
