Job summary

The role focuses on coordinating scheduling for in-house and outside patient surgeries, including obtaining required authorizations. Required education includes a high school diploma; associates degree preferred. Experience in patient access, billing, or pre-certification is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; associates degree preferred.
• 3 years’ experience in Patient Access, Billing, Cash Collections, Insurance and/or Pre-certification or related hospital experience.
• No certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct daily scheduling activities for in-house and outside patient surgeries, including obtaining needed authorizations.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Preferred: Associates Degree, Medical Terminology or Health Care Management

Required Experience:

Required: Three (3) years’ experience in Patient Access, Billing, Cash Collections, Insurance and/or Pre-certification requirements or directly related experience in a hospital. Preferred: Five (5) years’ experience in Patient Access, Billing, Cash Collections, Insurance and/or Pre-certification requirements or directly related experience in a hospital.
