Qualifications

• PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision required with doctorate from an accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in higher education.
• Experience with CACREP accreditation processes and standards.
• Experience in clinical supervision.
• Licensed Professional Counselor or similar independent licensure (no associate/provisional).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the initial CACREP accreditation candidacy for the MS-CMHC program; review and assess fieldwork for compliance.
• Develop the program curriculum and assessment plan with the MS-CMHC Chair and faculty.
• Build and maintain fieldwork partnerships with local and regional sites for student placements.
• Maintain fieldwork agreements between Herzing University and partner sites.
• Assist with the accreditation candidacy application related to fieldwork.
• Collaborate on program policies and prepare fieldwork manuals for students.
• Maintain curricular documents (catalog, manual, handbook, website).
• Provide training and ongoing communication to students, practicum/internship instructors, and site supervisors.
• Evaluate student fieldwork placements and oversee progress within the MS-CMHC fieldwork component.
• Act as a liaison with state licensing boards.
• Participate in school, college, and university committee work.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education

PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision

5 years of experience in higher education

Experience with CACREP accreditation

Experience in clinical supervision

Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (or other independent professional licensure by the applicant's respective state - no associate or provisional licenses)
