Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking an MRI Technologist to join the University City MRI team. The role involves verifying orders, preparing patients, and performing MRI scans with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities include obtaining patient histories, coordinating with radiologists, and ensuring high-quality images while adhering to radiation safety and infection control standards. Eligible for sign-on bonus, full-time, 36 hours per week, shifts 19:00–07:00 Friday–Sunday.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology with ARRT recognition.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests, verify orders, and coordinate with Radiologist for discrepancies.
• Identify patients, prepare for procedures, and document accordingly.
• Interview patients to obtain medical history and review EMRs for pertinent data.
• Perform MRI scanning and assist physicians during procedures; maintain sterile technique.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and report equipment malfunctions.
• Provide patient care and assist in emergencies while following safety protocols.
