Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist for Jacksonville, FL facilities to perform MRI procedures and produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.

The role requires contrast administration, patient safety, and collaboration with radiologists and staff, with flexibility to cover shifts as needed across sites. ARRT/MR or ARMRIT certification and state licensing are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract.
• State license, if applicable, required.
• CPR/BLS as per AHA/ARC.
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience.
• Ability to work at multiple locations.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce cross-sectional MRI images for interpretation.
• Acquire and analyze data for diagnosis under licensed practitioner guidance.
• Administer and document contrast per laws and policies.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Train and orient new staff as needed.
• Support coverage requests and respond promptly to shifts.
